MATba is a business Co. which registers and guarantees futures and options transactions.
MATba neither trades nor participates in price making; these fuctions are operators' exclusivity
since they represent supply and demand.
They interact with absolute transparency.
A Futures Transaction is very important, because it allows demand and supply to adjust
themselves in order to avoid sharp fluctuations in commodities prices such as grains,
whose main features are: a seasonal supply and a permanent demand.
In addition, MATba receives, processes and makes known all kind of local and international
information about different variables which have influence on quoted commodities prices.
MATba quotations are an important referential source for the taking of proper decisions.
Transactions are performed in an open outcry at the PIT.
The Pit is the place where operators meet in MATba trading-floor, being days and time fixed
by the Board of Directors.
All people, wishing to sell or buy, can do it spontaneously when prices are profitable.
Therefore, any shareholder is able to accept an offer to buy or sell by simply outcrying the word
ANOTE (i.e."closed transaction"), being in this way the transaction concerted.
